Google map of the actual Eclipse Site

The actual coordinates of our eclipse site were:

Elevation: 14m
Totality: 5' 40"

Photographs

Very sorry to report that we were in cloud cover for most of the eclipse including dense cloud cover for the 5' 40" of totality :-(
The two redeeming features were:

  • A brilliant and spooky diamond flash at the end of totality that shone through the cloud cover; and,

  • The Tidal Bore of about 3m flowing at about 30kph that followed the eclipse about 90mins after 4th Contact (at approx 4:30UT or 12:30LT).

We are hoping for better luck in South America July 11,2010.
